Have you noticed the painful situations all around you? Dark forces try to creep into every corner and crevice of our families’ and friends’ marriages, our childrens’ hearts, and every which way in our day-to-day lives.
All the while, we do nothing.
It’s time to wake up!
It may be tempting to give way to panic and discouragement, completely forgetting that Christ has empowered us to be mighty conquerors. In Christ, fear becomes obsolete as we fight battles with God’s strength. He has already won the war and He will fight every battle for us when we simply ask for His help and turn the leadership over to Him.
Deuteronomy 31:8 NIV The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.”
Do you want to sit back and watch the enemy wreak havoc on you and the people you love? No. Of course, not.
It’s time to wake up, take up your cross, and fully engage in the battle.
Pray with me.
Abba Father, may we be spiritual warriors who stand our ground against the evil one’s deceptions and attempts to destroy. May we stand together, fully unified, fully listening, fully yielding, fully at rest in your power, and fully making the most of each moment.
I pray we would not be idle, dull, distracted, complacent, or “normal.”
Wake us up, Lord!
May we not grow weary and give up the fight for truth, freedom, healing, salvation, and restoration. May we be your fully devoted Christ-followers!
I hope these Scriptures will inspire you:
2 Corinthians 6:4-10 NIV Rather, as servants of God we commend ourselves in every way: in great endurance; in troubles, hardships and distresses; in beatings, imprisonments and riots; in hard work, sleepless nights and hunger; in purity, understanding, patience and kindness; in the Holy Spirit and in sincere love; in truthful speech and in the power of God; with weapons of righteousness in the right hand and in the left; through glory and dishonor, bad report and good report; genuine, yet regarded as impostors; known, yet regarded as unknown; dying, and yet we live on; beaten, and yet not killed; sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; poor, yet making many rich; having nothing, and yet possessing everything.
Romans 13:10-14 NIV Love does no harm to a neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law. And do this, understanding the present time: The hour has already come for you to wake up from your slumber, because our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed. The night is nearly over; the day is almost here. So let us put aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light. Let us behave decently, as in the daytime, not in carousing and drunkenness, not in sexual immorality and debauchery, not in dissension and jealousy. Rather, clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ, and do not think about how to gratify the desires of the flesh.
2 Corinthians 10:3-5 NIV For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.
